The tree decoration
event for trees to be sold at the Timonium Fair Ground for Kennedy
Krieger's Festival Of Trees 2005 event was a huge success.
Thanks to everyone who donated many long hours planning and lost
large chunks of sleep to help—Sabrina, Sherin, Deanna, Mom,
Grandmom, Grandpop, Allegra, and of course, Glen (he was actually
working with the company that put on this event, but after changing
three trees for us and replacing the stand four times, I thought
he should be mentioned as one of our "special" helpers!).

event was a huge success with guest speaker Alice McDermott. Writer's
Lair CEO, Shana Yarborough, gave one-on-one critiques to budding
writers and was a part of the publishing panel that day. Kwame
Alexander was also present for the day and below he takes a picture
with local poet, W.H. Stevens.
